Memories

Does growing up mean giving up the things you loved?
That's a good question.
Even though I'm only 14, I have grown up and let go of so many things. I remember coming home from school in kindergarten, my mother would meet me at the bustop, sweep me off my feet in a big, bear hug, and tell me she loved me. Now, she's not even home when I get home from school. I miss that. It may seem childish but I do.

As a child, I never fit in.
Wait. Even now, I don't fit in.
I get teased, I get bullied, I get made fun of.
Which is kind of weird, considering I never really do anything. I have a few quality friends though, a quality boyfriend;)

So, does growing up mean you have to let go of things you love?
Not necessarily. In some cases yes, but in others no. And growing up means you get more things to do, and the little kid experiences become memories.

Cuteness

Often, I babysit for the people who live down the hall from us.
They have a little girl, who is 10 and a little boy who is 4.
Yesterday was a particularly sunny day, so right when I went to get the kids, I took them outside.
Now the little boy, whose name is Aiden, recently got his mom's old cellphone. So his mom told me he had been prancing around all day, calling people.
So when the dad left for work, when he had gotten no further than the street corner, Aiden whips out his phones and says "He won't call me back! Ugh, dad's not calling me back! He has to call me!"
it was the cutest thing I've seen in a long time.

I'm in a sort-of creative mood right now, so i think I should post some pictures.
I love photography, so its something I want to share.
Today's theme is summer, because i can't wait for it to be here!

But that risk is always worth taking.

or who was the fastest runner.
And when bandaids cured our worst wounds.

1st post, reasons why.

Of the 14 short years I have been on this earth, I guess I have seen/ been through a lot. I don't know why I'm writing this blog, maybe its for support or to vent or to share my experiences with the world, but I did, and I am going to make the most of it.
When I was younger I remember that evening was always a time for my mother and I to sit down and talk about something exciting that happened that day. Being an only child, these 'meetings' were often monotonous and repetititve.
I specifically remember when 9/11 happened.I was four at the time. My mom picked me up early from preschool. She her eyes were read as if she had been crying. She was quiet and mournful, and that was so unusual from her usual, quirky self. I knew something was up.
After dinner we had our usual telling of events. I don't remeber what I said.
But I do remember my mom saying there was near the place we lived. (we lived about 4 miles away from the pentagon.) She said a lot of bad people had taken over some airplanes and made them crash into important buildings. A lot of people were dead.
I was four years old. I didn't understand.
On 9/11/2001, flight 11 crashed into the one of the twin towers. I was supposed to be on that flight, with my mom and her friend and her daughter.
My mom was so angry that she got rescheduled.
That is amazing news. In a bad way, not a good way.
Everyone on that flight died.
I wouldn't be alive right now.
To me that is a sign that God put me on this earth for a purpose, that my legacy has not been finished yet. I know I have a specific purpose, and I need to do so.
What may that be?
I have no idea.
I do know that I need to find it.
That, I think, is why I started this blog.
